Wonderful staff and delicious food

Very good food and service. Always enjoy the food.

I first discovered this place in 2015 when I lived near by and after going there for the first time I was hooked! I found myself there every other day (no exaggeration) Even though I no longer live in the area I always go out of my way to eat here. The food is always amazing and the staff are always super friendly! I have brought several friends who were so happy with the food and service as well. I can’t even tell you how many times I’ve ate here but what I can say is that I have not had one bad experience. Satisfied customer here :) p.s - I never leave reviews but after ordering the other day I realized I should have given this review years ago! If there’s a place that deserves 5 stars it’s definitely this one.

Great little sushi restaurant. Food was fresh and tasty. Service was excellent. Waitress was friendly and pleasant. Prices were reasonable. Would go back again.

Best sushi in Winnipeg hands down. Best customer service, accommodating to your own specific requests and lovely staff! The food is fantastic, spicy tuna roll, Bakudan roll, creamy shrimp roll, gyozas, yakisoba noodles! Tried a lot of things on their menu and every item is delicious! I’ve brought a lot of my friends and colleagues and people always come back for more!

Really good rolls, quality ingredients, large pieces of each ingredient in the roll. Friendly service, though lunch time was bit busy with one server. I highly reccomend trying the sushi pizza appetizer!

Had the pan fried pickerel and fries. The charge extra to pan fry the fish as supposed to deep frying and I have no idea why, you get the same amount. It was good but I make better at home. The staff was very friendly.

Came here for the first time and we enjoyed the atmosphere, the staff was extremely welcoming and kind, not to mention the food was delicious! The sushi pizza was also very good. Will be coming and ordering from here more often!

Great food, great prices

It's a cute place for sure to go to for lunch and supper. It's got fish and chips though!! First sushi place I've been to that has fish and chips haha....but in regards to food I really enjoyed the creamy chicken roll and the yakisoba I ordered. They were both great!! Altough the teriyaki chicken roll wasn't as good as I thought it might be, which was pretty disappointing since I do love teriyaki rolls😅😅 But yea definitely a good place to go to and the server was really friendly as well!

Honestly had a great time, the spot was very quiet and the environment was cozy. I really enjoyed their spring rolls, the ramen was very good, and the sushi was some of the best I have had in the city so far!

Me and my girlfriend were searching around for a place to eat and stumbled across Sei Sushi. I'm glad that we found this place because the food here was great. We shared the Chirashi and 2 rolls, the Chirashi was great and the rolls were delicious. The prices for the food was reasonable as well. The price you pay is definitely worth the quality and deliciousness of food you get. Highly recommended!

Outstanding sushi rolls and the 7.75 lunch special for two rolls and a miso soup is a steal. I stop in whenever I'm in St James for an afternoon.

Stumbled across this place on our way to an event and decided to stop because the sign outside said they had fish and chips. We didn't actually realise it was a sushi place until we walked inside. The menu selection was decent, and the prices were very reasonable. My husband ordered a seafood ramen, which was quite a large portion, and really tasty. I ordered the deep fried fish and chips with yam fries instead of regular fries. The fish was perfectly fried, crispy batter, just the right amount of salt. The fries were the best yam fries I've ever had. They were battered and perfectly salted as well. So delicious.

Nice little restaurant! We drove by this so many times and finally tried their food. This place did not disappoint.The food was very good and the portions are perfect for the price you pay. And yes we ended up coming again on a Saturday.Their lunch special will fill you up and is good from Monday - Saturday, which gives you an extra day to have it.I recommend you try the Crunchy Mushroom Roll, if you like mushrooms. It's tasty!I would definitely come back to try the other rolls. You can only have a few because the rolls are more than a fair size.

Ordered on skip. Everything tasted like it was sitting out for a buffet. I have had good sushi and this isn't it.

I love this place! Best fish and chips in the city. The sushi is awesome. It is a family owned and run business and they treat you like family.

This is a community gem and more people need to discover it. The chef is truely talented and does fare as good as places I have been in Montreal, Vancouver and California. Simple, clean and very respectful wait staff.

This is a great sushi restaurant. It's run by a lovely family who puts much love and care into operating the place and preparing the food. The sushi tastes great and isn't over priced. Popular around lunch with locals and work crowds. The lunch special is a really good deal. They have fish and chips which is pretty popular though I have never ordered it myself.

First time ordering takeout and was impressed! The prices are reasonable, and we were impressed with the quality of the dishes we ordered. The Gyoza was excellent! The staff was friendly both on the phone and in person. Looking forward to trying more of their menu.

We have only sampled the pickerel dinner. We had one pan fried and one battered. Both were decent, salad side better than the fries. Tartar sauce followed an unusual formula, to say the least; strange taste. We might do this again, we might not.

One of the worst sushis I’ve had. Tuna tasted liked chicken, and I’ve never been served sushi that thin, literally as thin a cracker. Avoid having a bad time.

I’ll say it... Best Sushi on the Prairies! Being this far from the ocean and having really good sushi that reminds me of Vancouver is a great little place to have a wonderful meal at. The service is amazing and you can tell they take pride in what they do in every bite and sip. Will be back many times for sure.
